The Almajiri Project
The Almajiri Program involves a system where the educational, health and welfare needs of the male children will be afforded for by the foundation within a boarding facility (in-house). We currently have twenty four (24) children between the ages of 8-12 residing in the hostels.
The schools and hostels has been constructed to accommodate children from one locality to another within available resources, thereby re-integrating affected children into the society through quality education, health and good living conditions.
Their education, from inception to secondary education will be catered for; there is a six (6) years time frame in which a harmonised primary and secondary universal basic educational board curriculum will be delivered.
The students that have been enrolled during inception are expected to have made adequate development to proceed to the next level in the process of re-integration, which is either they advance on to tertiary education or are introduced to various skills acquisition programmes.
